Weymouth & Delightful Dorset – Ronnie
Firstly, we made our way to Winchester for lunch, its a very nice day so our clients enjoyed the sunshine. After lunch, we made our way to Weymouth, again the weather was very nice so it was a very pleasant ride down. The hotel was very welcoming – each night, at dinner we had a different theme, today, there was bingo and entertainment, which was enjoyed by all.
Today, we made our way via Wareham to Corfe and Swanage, again it was a very nice day.
At Swanage, people were fortunate enough to see the Steam Engine belonging to the Heritage Line, that runs between Swanage and Norden.
After lunch, we went to Lulworth Cove, the weather was still kind to us. After this it was back to the hotel for another evening of themed entertainment, which included ‘The Tiller Girls’ which I missed?!
Today we drove the scenic route toward Bridport via Abbotsbury wgich is a great drive wuth great views. After by passing Bridport we arrived in Lyme Regis, which is famous for the filming of the ‘French Lieutenant’s Woman’ and being the birthplace of Admiral Sir George Somers who colonised Bermuda for the empire.
After Lyme Regis it was onto Sidmouth for lunch, a lovely place, where the weather was good again. Then, it was a nice ride back to Weymouth.
It was a free day and the weather again was good.
Great weather again!
We left Weymouth to Salisbury for lunch via Blandford Forum, a nice ride again.
A good few days.
