The Emerald Isles & Ring of Kerry – Dave
Left interchange for a short drive to Stafford services for lunch. Passenger’s love it here, as they can sit around the lake and have their sandwiches and drinks. Then we went onto the overnight hotel for 4pm, enjoying a lovely relax in the garden of the hotel, all around us the Welsh hills, it was a lovely setting.
Left hotel 9am into Ferry Port for 9.45am onto 10.20am ferry. We came off the ferry at Dun Laoghaire then we travelled to hotel at Castle Island. People had time to walk around the village and freshen up before a welcome drink and three course meal.
We left the hotel at 9.15 am to explore the Ring of Kerry. Well, words cannot describe the day we have had today, so we have taken lots of photos to show you the breath-taking sea views and scenery that we cannot put into words.
In the evening we enjoyed Irish music.
At 9.30am passengers went off to Killarney, where they enjoyed the boat and carts.
In the evening, the passengers enjoyed some Irish dancing in the hotel.
We had a lovely drive around the Dingle Peninsula, making lots of photo stops and worming our way round to Slea head. Here, passengers had the chance to take some stunning photos. One gentleman said in two days he had taken 150 photos of scenery!
Then we stopped in Dingle for lunch, lovely fishing town. After a slow drive again, with some lovely views, to the County Museum in Tralee.
Then back to the hotel to enjoy a pair singing some lovely Irish tunes.
After a leisurely breakfast, we headed for our late afternoon ferry to Holyhead and enjoyed our final night in Wales, before heading back home.
