Austrian Lakes – Sound of Music – Martin

Above is a collection of images from an old favourite of many Crusader Holidays’ customers with many returning year after year. Pretty as a picture, the Austrian Lakes District, the Salzkammergut, is a glorious region of beautiful blue lakes, soaring mountains, tree-clad hills and charming villages. You will see it at its best when we visit Mondsee, picturesque St Wolfgang and photogenic Hallstadt. We also visit the ‘Sound of Music’ city of Salzburg, renowned for its churches, palaces, gardens and magnificent Hohensalzburg Fortress, and Berchtesgaden which is arguably, one of the most scenic places in the Bavarian Alps.

Thank you for your reply. Yes we have actually just come back from the New Year in Rudesheim tour, and yes we had a brilliant time, despite the long journey!! The hotel, location, food and itinery were great. Very lucky with the weather, it had snowed a few days before, but it disappeared whilst we were there, we had blue skies, and then a overcast day. Thank you to Nick for safely driving us.
